The foreign ministers of Poland, Bulgaria and Sweden will focus on the conflict in Syria during visits to Lebanon and Iraq from Thursday to Sunday, the Polish foreign ministry announced Wednesday.

Poland's Radoslaw Sikorski, Bulgaria's Nikolay Mladenov and Sweden's Carl Bildt will also discuss the countries' relations with the EU.

"The talks with Iraqi and Lebanese officials in Beirut and Baghdad will focus on the situation in the region, including the conflict in Syria, as well as prospects of cooperation between the two countries and the European Union," according to the statement.

The ministers will visit "Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, for a few hours to examine the possibility of strengthening contacts with the region, which is undergoing dynamic change," the Polish ministry added.
