Connelly Meets Bassil, Encourages Ministry to Continue to Develop Energy Sector

U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly held talks on Tuesday with Energy Minister Jebran Bassil on the energy sector in Lebanon, announced the U.S. Embassy in a statement.

The ambassador encouraged “the Ministry’s continued commitment to implement fair, transparent regulations to develop the energy and water sectors.”

She also renewed the commitment of the United States to a stable, sovereign, and independent Lebanon.

In other words, she told Bassil to forget about the Iranian, Chinese, and Russian oil companies and make sure US and Western European companies are the majority on the bid list....

I dont blame her. If we want to develop our resources in the most efficient manner, then this is the way to go. Exxon, Chevron, Oxy, Total, Shell, BP, ENI, etc...
