Unknown assailants demanded on Friday a one-million-dollar ransom in exchange for the release of businessman Raja al-Zuhairi, the National News Agency reported on Friday.

According to NNA, the kidnappers contacted the father-in-law of al-Zuhairi demanding him to pay the ransom.

LBCI reported that a GMC Envoy intercepted the car of al-Zuhairi Thursday night.

The vehicle was found parked on the side of a road in Aramoun.

Meanwhile, unknown culprits pursued the car of 37-year-old Abbas Moustapha Qassas on Mdeirej-Sofar road on Thursday night, his brother Ali told policemen.

Abbas contacted Ali but then the line was disconnected.

According to Ali he headed to the area and found the car of Abbas, holding license plate 149492/Z, parked on the side of the road with the driver’s door open.

Let's leave this in the hands of the ISF for now... The day people take the fight is the day we start a new civil war. But the competent services should deal with it, launch assaults on suspected properties and homes, harass them until they release the hostages.

I think they want this chaos. It'll benefit them because Assad decided so. It'll also benefit Israel... Another confirmation that Assad and Natanyahu work hand in hand.

Anyone every consider the likely possibility that this may just be zo3ran who went after wealthy individual(s) to take advantage of the situation? Or suddenly it's political and you guys cracked the case and know who's behind it? You guys act like people have never been kidnapped for ransom in Lebanon before, bunch of children.
