Qahwaji to Discuss Military Aid during London Trip at End of Sept.
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةArmy Commander General Jean Qahwaji is set to travel to the UK on September 23 on a five-day visit where he is set to hold talks with a number of British officials, reported As Safir newspaper on Saturday.
He is scheduled to meet with David Ashley, head of the British Foreign Office's Levant Regional Team, to discuss military aid to the Lebanese army.
Ashley quoted British Foreign Minister William Hague as informing Lebanese officials that the UK will double its aid to the Lebanese army.
The minister had also made these assertions to Prime Minister Najib Miqati during the latter's visit to London in July.
