All officer recruits, who recently applied to the position, passed the psychiatric exam despite rumors over a manipulation of the results of the exam, al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Thursday.

According to the report, a settlement was reached over the matter where all the recruits passed the first round of the exam instead of it being canceled.

In June, media reports said that the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces manipulated the results of the psychiatric exams of 53 recruits, knowing that the round aims at recruiting 75 officers at the ISF.

However, ISF chief Maj. Gen. Ashraf Rifi denied the reports.

The army supervised the exams as it has a specialized apparatus to carry out such exams that the ISF lack.

The reports said that the ISF manipulated the results of the copies it had as the grades varied from the results of the copies in the army's possession.
