Phalange: Hizbullah's Drone to Drag Lebanon into War, Serves Foreign Interests
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةThe Phalange Party criticized on Monday Hizbullah's launching of an Iranian drone that crossed into Israeli airspace on October 6, calling on the Lebanese government to take a serious stand against this incident.
In a statement released after its political bureau's weekly meeting, the party considered that Hizbullah is jeopardizing the country's stability and overthrowing the state's sovereignty to serve foreign interests.
"This is an attempt to drag Lebanon into a state of war with Israel,” the statement said.
On October 6, the Israeli air force jets shot down the unarmed drone over southern Israel's Negev desert after it entered the country's airspace from the Mediterranean Sea. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pointed at Hizbullah and vowed to defend his country against further "threats." Hizbullah's Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah acknowledged that the Iranian-made drone was launched by his party.
Regarding the escape of three prisoners from Roumieh prison, the Phalange considered this incident to be threatening the Lebanese state's authority, and it called for enhancing the situation of the prisoners, as well as reforming security and administrative bodies and procedures.
"We demand serious investigation and penalization of all those who participated in the escape, and those that prove to be responsible for guarding the block's security,” the Phalange expressed.
Three Fatah al-Islam inmates – a Palestinian, a Syrian and an Algerian – managed to escape from Roumieh prison around a month ago, media reports said on Friday. Several security officers in charge of the block where the escapees were held have been interrogated, reported An Nahar newspaper.
Roumieh, the oldest and largest of Lebanon's overcrowded prisons, has witnessed sporadic prison breaks in recent years and escalating riots over the past months as inmates living in poor conditions demand better treatment.
The party also praised the formation of a parliamentary unit to conduct discussions about electoral law, expressing that it would take this issue out of political debates. The Phalange urged the cabinet and the Foreign Minister to reach a resolution concerning Lebanese expatriates' participation in the upcoming elections.
"This is an attempt to drag Lebanon into a state of war with Israel,”
exactly and with the complicity of FPM and others...to please their iranian masters but certainly not to defend the interests of lebanon....
peace:
they are iranians, let us not hide behind our fingers anymore...
they just execute the orders of their iranian masters at whatever the costs for Lebanon. they do not have any Lebanese vibre in them.
as for fpm... they are truly blind and dumb: if they know where their alliance is taking us, then they are traitors, and if not they just plain stupid idiots who are driving us all out of Lebanon offering it to the farsis.
"This is an attempt to drag Lebanon into a state of war with Israel,”
Sorry, but unless I have missed reading something over the last 60 years, Lebanon (through its own tearing up of a peace treaty) has been in a state of war with Israel since 1948.
Even if it should come down to it, I'm sure Israel won't attack the Lebanese Army, although I'm not so sure about them not attacking Hizaballah, something I'm not so sure too many Lebanese would object to.
what you don t understand or do not want to understand is that it is not for a party to gather intel but the national army... the government is the ONLY one to decide about peace or war...
Newsflash for you: everyone knows that there is no peace treaty with israel but hezb is the one which drags lebanon into war not the state of lebanon!
so if you prefer that a party holds the future of your country good for you, but a normal believing in his countries prefers that the gvt (whoever is in it because it is elected by the people not the party!) decide not a party!
you believe more in a tribal system governed by party leaders than in your own state... bravo
how ironic for some pea-brain to accuse the Kateab of being "chicken" without "fighting spirit"...it is either those folks have been asleep for all their lives, or conveniently forgot how the Kataeb defended and protected this country time and again and never hesitated to pay the ultimate sacrifice for every square inch of this land...
Why all this worry? Israel is your friend's fried (and therefore your friend), right? So ask your friends to ask their friends (i.e. your friends, too) to just focus on the dwellings of Hassan Nasrallah, Wiam Wahab, Michel Aoun, Nasser Qandil, Suleiman Franjieh, Assaad Hardan, Imad Marmal, Joseph Abou Fadel, Tala Erslan... and all of the anti-patriots! End of story. What better excuse do you, March 14 patriots and warriors, need to "terminate" the enemies of the lovers of life, democracy, freedom and brotherhood among Lebanese? Oh, I forgot to mention bombing Bkerkeh where Patriarch Al Ra3i dwells. You should be happy, guys. Why are you so hyoed up over this? Rejoice, my friends. REJOICE!
When would you say Bashar will go? But then, where did you get this handsome photo of my hairy butt? It looks cute, doesn't it? How old were you when this nude photo of me was taken?
March 14, kill the Iranians even those who are in Iran. Man, what a disaster these Iranians have become to everything peaceful like Israel and the Middle East. Come on, guys. No more delays, please. Let's hire chartered planes and go on the offensive towards Iran, the land of evil and black magic and criminal suicide bombers. Oh, forget about this last point because it is the specialty of our friends the crazy Sunni lunatics that we so adore. Go, go, go warriors. No more fakih nonsense. No more BS. 3alehom. You may start with Ghadanfar Rokn Abadi because he is baaaaaaaaad, very baaaaaaaaaad.
Idiot .... The same state that you refer to did nothing to curb the criminal palestinians robbing, raping and murdering on LEBANESE land leading up to the war. The same state that allowed the palestinians to fight a war from our land. Your name would be Jihad and not John if the Kataeb didnt do what the state failed to do.
It's like comparing apples and oranges. The Kataeb did not invade foreign land or airspace. Hizbullah and their drone just did ...
You want to question our connection to the state? Every M14 Christian party has a cedar in their logo? What do you guys have? A tick, pi and an ak47.
