From her hospital bed at the Lebanese Canadian Hospital in Horch Tabet, 10-year old Jennifer Chedid called for forgiveness for her killer, reported Future television Tuesday.

Jennifer survived the bombing of Ashrafiyeh in Beirut on Friday that killed three people and wounded and maimed more than a 100 people.

The blast targeted Internal Security Forces Intelligence Bureau chief Brigadier General Wissam al-Hasan.

Despite the immense pain she was under and the 640 stitches in her frail body, Jennifer decided to forgive her killer as her mother told Future TV.

“Jennifer at this young age is a big believer in Jesus Christ and Saint Charbel,” said the report.

She told her mother that Jesus had appeared to her and will help her healing, it added.

Despite the pain and the heavy sedation she is still able to smile and not utter any complaint about her condition.

Jennifer was back home from school when the explosion rocked Ashrafiyeh at 2:45 p.m. on Friday.

She was admitted unconscious to the Lebanese Canadian hospital with severe wounds to her skull and body, but returned to consciousness 48 hours after a head surgery.

I join my prayers to her, and ask Jesus to heal her fast and reduce her pains.

Ft, at the same time look at what people you support do and who gets caught up, just saying. Forgiveness is one thing (bless this child), but any side who commits these acts should be brought to justice, last thing any real Lebanese wants is more violence and innocent people being caught up in such stupidity.

Without forgetting that not bombing your brethren is probably a preferable outcome to bombing them and then being forgiven, perhaps...

Yes. learn to forgive after each bombing because it is just a test for us from which we have to emerge victorious and united. Each bombing on a March 14 figure is a trap aimed to trigger a sectarian strife. We should each time kiss each others after it and stay united, and accuse either Israel or Saudi. And when all members of March 14 will be eliminated, then we will celebrate the real victory on Israel because we outplayed all its traps.

Then why don't you come and kiss my arse for a start? ^^

So lets all celebrate our victory on the evil forces since we remained united, and lets await with love and courage the next bombing on March 14. A bombing on a March 8 figure will not lead to civil war, this is why Israel never think about it. March 8 do not have weapon, so for what targeting them. Israel expect that after killing all March 14 members a civil war will occur for sure and March 8 will be very weak and will loose.

And i was wondering, what if March 14 imagine a counter-attack and outplay Israel? By example, each time one of them wants to take the road, he can ask a March 8 official to accompany him. Thus Israel will never attack him and he will be as secure as if he was hiding in Switzerland.

I hope you'll be right next to that "M14" leader who's getting the next bomb. One less piece of trash to put up with!

They appear to those who have faith in Them whateva, and judging by you arrogant attitude - people like you will be the last to know..... The beautiful thing about children is their innocence and saying it how it is..... Unlike many who make comments on these pages. Let's not point the finger at anyone. They do speak for themselves.

I don't think people here understand what forgiveness means. It's not about passively turning the other cheek and saying "thank you", it's about stopping the cycle of hate.
Of course whoever did this shouldn't go unpunished, but given how the politics of this world work, it will be a long time before we know, if we ever do.
Forgiveness is not defeat, it's not giving in to anger and hate so the situation doesn't get worse. We are here today because as a people, the Lebanese lack compassion, are selfish and intolerant, which makes us an easy target, and makes us look like monkeys in foreign media.
