Miqati Heads to Bulgaria and Hungary to Consolidate Bilateral Ties
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةPrime Minister Najib Miqati traveled to Bulgaria and Hungary on Sunday to discuss with officials ways to consolidate bilateral political and economic relations, his press office said.
Miqati will hold talks with his Bulgarian counterpart Boyko Borissov, Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva and Foreign Minister Nickolay Mladenov on Monday.
He will then head to Hungary where on Tuesday he is scheduled to meet with President Janos Ader, Speaker Laszlo Kover and PM Viktor Orban.
Miqati and his accompanying ministerial delegation are scheduled to return to Beirut on Tuesday night, the press office said.
His office told Naharnet on Saturday that Miqati's visit to Paris is still being discussed between Lebanese and French authorities after several local dailies reported that the premier's trip to the French capital is being reconsidered due to French President Francois Hollande's visit to Beirut on Sunday.
“No date has been scheduled yet to Miqati's visit to Paris,” the office said.
“There's no link between Miqati's visit to Paris and Hollande's visit to Beirut... They're completely separate events,” it pointed out.
It's time to make the ties between Hungary and Lebanon tighter. Greetings from Hungary to all Lebanese :)
