Mustaqbal: March 8 Failure in Forming New Govt Led to Security Chaos, Economic Recession
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةThe Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc on Tuesday noted that "the failure of the March 8 forces in forming a new cabinet – due to wrangling over the distribution of portfolios – has caused a political crisis whose repercussions have affected the security, economic and social situations.
"The thing that has led to a security chaos that involves the violation of public and private property, as well as to economic recession," the bloc said in a statement issued after its weekly meeting.
The bloc said "the large buildings being (illegally) constructed" highlighted the fact that some were hiding behind the plight of the poor to serve their own interests.
"This is a systematic action aimed at destroying the State and its entire institutions and it cannot be tolerated," the bloc noted, adding that illegal construction would not have flourished "without a political cover provided by the de facto forces that possess weapons."
"Once the violators were stripped of political cover, security forces managed to demolish the illegal buildings built near the (Beirut Rafik Hariri International) airport fence," the bloc reminisced.
