Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani stressed on Friday his country's keenness on Lebanon's stability, reported the daily al-Mustaqbal on Saturday.

He urged “the resumption of contacts between the Lebanese political powers in order to allow them to confront the crises raging in the region.”

He made his comments to Youth and Sports Minister Faisal Karami, who paid a visit to Doha on Friday.

The Qatari official added: “The policy of disassociation adopted by the Lebanese government is wise.”

The government chose to distance itself from regional disputes, particularly the Syrian crisis, in order to avert any repercussions the unrest may have on Lebanon.

Dear Qatari PM: take all of Hezbollah's weapons and give them to Gazaoui. We have no need for armed militias on our soil. Or just return them to their rightful owner, the ayatollah.
