March 14 Warns against Opening Southern Lebanon Front

The March 14 general-secretariat warned on Wednesday against any “adventure” that would open a new front in southern Lebanon in light of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Following its weekly meeting, the general-secretariat announced in a statement “full solidarity with the Palestinian people that are being targeted by Israel and paying the price of its brutality.”

It urged the U.N. Security Council and the Arab League to protect Gaza with a resolution that warns Israel against launching war on the Palestinians.

The statement also warned against “any adventure that would seek to open the Lebanese southern front,” referring to two rockets dismantled by Lebanese military experts on Monday.

The rockets, which were found near the southern village of Halta, were equipped with timers and ready to fire at Israel.

In 2008, during the last Israeli offensive on Gaza, several rockets were fired from southern Lebanon at northern Israel, provoking a brief Israeli artillery response.

Several rockets were also fired from the south last year.

The March 14 general-secretariat reiterated that a decision by the opposition alliance's MPs to boycott parliamentary work is nothing but a way to topple the government of Prime Minister Najib Miqati.

The boycott is also aimed at forming a new cabinet based on constitutional norms, it said.

The coalition boycotted parliamentary activity following the Oct. 19 assassination of Internal Security Forces Intelligence Bureau chief Wissam al-Hasan, which it blamed on the government.

Angry Iranians (HA) come out in 3,2,1....

Nobody cares about what you're saying March14, we care about what you do.

The middle east is truly on fire now. Stick together as Lebanese and think of Lebanon.

I actually support March14's call for Calm between Hezbollah & Israel.

wake up, Fee2 min el wahim yalle 3ayish feee. Syria, Iran and their local proxies Hamas/Hezbollah are setting the Middle East ablaze. Sitting next to those criminal minds isn't an option. The enemy lives within our walls, not in Israel, Palestine or any other country.

Missing phillipo 21 November 2012, 15:43

How right you are, the enemy of Lebanon is not outside its borders but within the country itself.

I care :-) Nobody wants these terrorists to drag us into another war...please!

Lacking creativity and like programmed robots, they'll talk. Let them and real Lebanese will laugh all the way.

Well we can see that the blog has been hijacked by same lame terrorist worshipers...at the end, your kind will be nothing but a bad dream in the pages of history books. No place for regressed stone-aged extremists on this planet. Tick-tock-tick-tock......

You'll find with most of these Iranians they're basically running their mouths from the wonderful American city of Dearborne Michigan. Paradoxical as it is, their M14/Wahabi statements are pure entertainment. In the end to them it's all about control, perhaps they like being controlled? Lebanon for the Lebanese, not foreign hijackers.

Element......there is no "most", It's the few usual suspects and their aliases desperately seeking attention/approval but we all know the world has no tolerance for regressed extremists aka terrorists! They will be history sooner than you know....

Thumb Elemental 21 November 2012, 17:59

Cheers to that.

And I have to agree with you Elemental...they are very likely running their mouths from the wonderful American city of Dearborne Michigan and how ironic they come to this great country but at the same time they worship terrorists who want to harm it! They abuse their right of freedom that is the pillar of this country meanwhile why one asks are they here? You know why? Because if they go back to their beloved stone-aged culture they will have NO RIGHTS and be nothing more then goat herders....

those supporting hezbis are actually supporting persian hegemony over the region. iran seems to want to position itself as a key country in the region to replace the role played by syria now that the power is getting weaker there and forget about their nuclear programs . so they are just trying to send a message to the west through hamas in gaza and hezbollah in lebanon. if the message isn t received they won t hesistate to use hezbis to launch a war.
so the hezbis supporters here and FPMers (!!!) are just supporting the fact that as usual lebanon will be used as the battlefield regardless of the causalties and destructions and will call it once again a holy war and a holy victory...
