Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi is expected to hold a mass on St. Maroun day in the northern city of Tripoli, media reports said on Wednesday.

Al-Rahi will head to Tripoli on Friday afternoon as the mass will be held at St. Maroun Church.

According to Voice of Lebanon radio (100.5), the patriarch will return to Bkirki after the mass.

He will also hold talks with the parish pastors.

The patriarch had postponed several visits to the northern city over security reasons.

Frequent sectarian clashes erupt in Tripoli between Sunnis and Syrian President Bashar Assad's minority Alawite sect over the developments in the neighboring country since the beginning of the revolt in March 2011.

"Frequent sectarian clashes erupt in Tripoli between Sunnis and Syrian President Bashar Assad's minority Alawite sect " ???

Really? This is what it has come to, you mean they are not Lebanese?

If this is the case the sentence should be as follows:
"Frequent sectarian clashes erupt in Tripoli between Saudi Wahabi Sunnis and Syrian President Bashar Assad's minority Alawite sect "
