Mashnouq to Jumblat: Army Doesn't Need 'Newly-Found' Support, You're Expert in Attacking Allies
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةAl-Mustaqbal bloc MP Nouhad al-Mashnouq stated on Friday that the issues of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and Hizbullah's arms are the basis of any national dialogue, saying that Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat has become “a specialist in attacking his allies”.
"We were not the ones to say that who abandons the STL is a traitor,” al-Mashnouq noted in an interview with Future television, during which he replied to Jumblat's Thursday talk in a televised appearance.
Jumblat had advised former Prime Minister Saad Hariri on Thursday to keep away from the issues of the STL and Hizbullah's arms, explaining that these are “minor details in the midst of what is happening in the Middle East”.
Al-Mashnouq said that the Druze leader's support to the army is “newly-found”, explaining that he fought the military institution and contributed to “dividing it”.
"No one can compete with Jumblat in his absurd elimination wars on the army,” he said,
"The army does not need his support," al-Mustaqbal MP stated.
Mashnouq said the al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc's statements were clear regarding (the Bekaa town of) Arsal's incident and about the military institution's role.
He remarked: “We called for referring the case to the legal authorities and for lifting the imposed siege on the town”.
“Both demands were relatively achieved and we are awaiting for the transparent investigation to reveal who is behind the incident,” he added, urging political factions in the country to stop exploiting what happened for personal gains.
Responding to the PSP leader's comments on the situation of “vacuum and chaos” in al-Mustaqbal movement, al-Mashnouq said only the prominent political figures in the party decide on the relation with Jumblat during the upcoming elections, not the supporters.
“Meanwhile, (Former Prime Minister) Rafik Hariri's supporters blame al-Mustaqbal leaders for still believing in what Jumblat says or does,” he revealed.
I missed Hariri's televised electrifying speeches yesterday, full of energy "red bull", charisma & spirituality.....
i was watching Tom & Jerry ....
Shooooooooo mustool! lilfaglee aka Farsi fagblower.
"I don't know what makes you so stupid, but it really works!"

Want to make a good first impression on a guy? Ask questions about him, seem interested, listen, giggle and swallow. >>>> lilfaglee emphasizes on "swallow"
Touché! LolololLololol! Have a good day Nabatieh’s village idiot!
Aoun and Joumblat are the most disloyal and back stabbing figures in whole of Lebanon if not the MEA...I will even respect my enemies that keep loyal to their allies and friends but unlike Aoun and joumblat they betray anyone or anything for personal gains and that is degusting...shame on them...
Well said Mashnouq! Jumblatt screwed up when he said the assassination of a Primer Minister is meaningless...
Lebanon needs justice to be served in order to move on, anyone who doesn't understand this is either behind the killings or corrupt to the bone.
bad timing ya mashnouq...walid beik is visiting the wahabies ..perhaps tomorrow he will visit the farsis: anyway saado will soon call u and tell u to S... U...
These six Lebanese warlords are having lunch in Paris, and their souffle explodes, inflicting ghastly egg-white injuries on their attire and persons.
Subsequently, under advice from their lawyers, they consent to remain in Paris managing their investments.
Meanwhile, democracy breaks out across Lebanon, plunging the nation and the entire region into stability. Israel protests by voting itself out of existence, but ninety nine percent of Jews in Palestine stay around to see what happens next.
Hariri is no warlord nor war veteran. This doesn't apply to other politicians who have lots of blood on their hands.
thumb up for you because your sarcasm is meaningful.
The only one on a payroll for a political faction here is you and your aliases. You're not fooling anyone here, we're just letting you express yourself because we're better people.
More like sheeps fighting each other while the hyenas are waiting to tear them apart.
always nice watches Mr machnouk , to be a journalist these days is better than being a doctor
To FlameThrower...I've read many comments on Naharnet by you and wonder why you waste your time with silly responses sometimes when it's evident that you can contribute in a more constructive manner. You' better than that and you know it. You may have a difference in opinion or a different point of view than many others, but you can play a much more positive role. You invest so much time here and it's a shame that other readers can't benefit from you more instead of reading that battering that goes on back-and-forth between you and other readers. It's really a shame. d

To FlameThrower...continuation due to 1000 character limitation ...Suspend the systematic negativity and share with us a valuable educational opinion and a mentally nourishing stimulation of love for the country that we all love and want to preserve, rebuild, and protect. I'm writing this to you because I'm tired of seeing the bickering that goes on here between not just with you but everyone. We need to at least start by communicating in a healthier way and lead by example......that goes for everyone.

The nerve of Jumblatt for telling the truth! He's Lebanese. He really should know better.
