President Michel Suleiman on Sunday condemned the rocket attack from Syrian territory on the Bekaa area of Hermel and denounced the Israeli mock raids over southern Lebanon.

In a press release, Suleiman stressed the need for “all warring parties in Syria to respect Lebanon's sovereignty and avoid military acts against Lebanese border areas that are targeting peaceful citizens.”

Earlier on Sunday, several rockets landed in and around the town of Hermel from Syria as Syrian troops backed by Hizbullah fighters launched an assault on the rebel-held central town of Qusayr.

The state-run National News Agency said around eight Grad rockets hit different areas of Hermel.

Separately, Suleiman described the latest Israeli overflights and mock raids over the South as “a new violation of (U.N. Security Council) Resolution 1701.”

The president also called the Israeli violations “an attempt to raise tensions in the South, in a blatant defiance of the international will, which is represented by the U.N. force tasked with preserving peace in the area stretching from south of the Litani River to the international border.”

With this condemnation by our great good-for-nothing corrupt president-by-pacrachute, we can go back to banging our heads against a solid surface like a basketball is handled by one great good-for-nothing corrupt Amchit basketball team, may God bless both good-for-nothings and extend their reign and our days of misery with them forever and ever, Amen.

well the M8 rhetoric is simple:

syrian army bombs lebanon = it is self defense and authorized!
syrian rebels and israelis bomb lebanon = it is terrorism.

go figure! i guess some bombs are just more halal than others for M8!

Lebanon has troops in Syria fighting in Syria's civil war on Syrian territory. Why is it wrong for Syria to bring the war to Lebanese territory?

Not true, you're lying. Lebanon doesn't have troops in Syria. But there are Lebanese, Iranian, Saudi, Moroccan mterrorists murdering people in the name of their spiritual leaders.

Syria never considered Lebanon as an independent nation, but rather as a Syrian province. Anyone that stood in its way was brutally murdered such as Hariri, Gemayel, Tueni, general Hassan, and dozens more. These were only victims of the son dictator, the father also had his share of murders and oppression.

Flamethrower - with all due respects UN resolution 1701 applies to both sides. You can't blame one side for occasionally incurring into the others territory, whilst you have a guerilla army in place, illegally as per 1701, south of the Litani on a permanent basis.
