NY Tabloids Name Journalist as Gallagher's 'Baby Mama'

New York's tabloids on Thursday identified journalist Liza Ghorbani as the woman who has gone to court claiming that Liam Gallagher is the father of her daughter.

Ghorbani, 39, had an on-off affair with the former Oasis frontman after interviewing him for the New York Times in 2010, according to the New York Post and the New York Daily News.

The affair resulted in the birth of a baby girl who is now seven months old and DNA tests have confirmed that Gallagher, 40, is the father, the papers claimed.

Ghorbani was said to have asked Gallagher to provide financial support for the child in a confidential suit currently before the Manhattan Family Court. Gallagher, 40, has been married to former All Saints star Nicole Appleton since 2008. He has three children, a daughter who was the result of an extra-marital affair during his first marriage to actress Patsy Kensit, and two sons -- one with Kensit and one with Appleton.

His spokesman has declined to comment on the claims being made in New York, where the paternity case will end up in a public trial if the two parties do not resolve their differences in the family court.
