Hizbullah Accuses March 14-Backed Regional Intelligence Groups of Dahieh Blast

Hizbullah accused on Thursday “regional intelligence bodies” of being behind last week's deadly blast in Beirut's southern suburbs.

"This terrorist blast was engineered by intelligence bodies that are benefiting from the policies of incitement adopted by some March 14 factions,” the party's Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc said after the MPs' meeting.

The bloc elaborated: “These groups are investing in terrorist Takfiris to execute their plans and are taking advantage of March 14's strategic path that serves the interests of the American-Zionist axis in the region.”

The bloc explained that the “catastrophic failure of these Takfiri groups to achieve conspiratorial goals in Syria and on the border with the neighboring country has pushed them to instead seek compensation inside Lebanon.”

"But we took the decision to resist to these groups to preserve Lebanon, its unity, resistance, diversity and its religious coexistence, regardless of the sacrifices we have to offer.”

A huge explosion rocked Hizbullah's stronghold in the southern suburb of Beirut last Thursday, killing at least 27 people and wounded 325 others.

A previously unknown group, apparently a Syrian rebel cell, said it carried out the attack between Bir al-Abed and Rweiss, districts where Hizbullah security is normally tight.

The group said the explosion came as a “response to Hizbullah's fighting alongside Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces in the neighboring country.

Meanwhile, Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah accused on Friday radical Islamists of responsibility for the bombing.

The Loyalty to Resistance MPs pointed out in their statement that a “national unity cabinet is the political solution that would uncover terrorists and the parties obstructing the building of the state.”

"We reject a de facto cabinet which is provocative and contradicts with the National Charter,” the lawmakers stressed, remarking that the March 14 coalition "is standing in the way of forming a political council of ministers, hindering the work of the constitutional institutions and the political life in the country."

"Betting on autocratic regimes that promote a reconciliation with the Zionist enemy threatens sovereignty and stability in the country.”

The bloc also discussed the kidnapping of the Turkish pilots and the Lebanese pilgrims held in Aazaz, calling for intensifying efforts to draw an end to this case “to avoid further complicating the situation.”

Thumb _mowaten_ 22 August 2013, 17:39

no they did not say that sdorky, they are saying intelligence groups are using march14 and taking advantage of m14. the way this is said m14 is not the accused but the useful idiot being used by regional intelligence groups.

Missing mohammad_ca 22 August 2013, 17:42

Moowate read dude "March-14 backed" means that March 14 backs such groups and therefore are being implicated in this.

Thumb benzona 22 August 2013, 20:06

And FT keeps calling M14ers stupid. Yet, Hezbollah says we have intelligence? I'm confused! LOL

M14 is not about terrorism, that's strictly the apanage of M8 and more particularly Hezbollah.

Thumb geha 22 August 2013, 16:53

and this is not sectarian incitement?
hizbushaitan has lost it! they have their back t the wall, they see all their universe crumbling around them, they lost any official support, and what do they do? they accuse m14.
this is the expected prelude to taking over the country militarily.
no wonder officials went on vacations abroad.

Thumb geha 22 August 2013, 16:58

2 rockets were fired inot Israel.
what is hizbushaitan doing? they want to accelerate a regional war?
most probably yesterday's massacre with chemical weapons accelerated the downfall of iran's influence in the region, thus they want war of any type so they can sit at a conference table.
these guys are in for a major surprise: no one will sit with them on a table, and this is their complete debacle.

Thumb _mowaten_ 22 August 2013, 17:33

are you panicking because you feel your friends are being uncovered? where do you see sectarian incitement? is m14 a sect?

Thumb _mowaten_ 22 August 2013, 17:37

lol, that's a funny one. who killed pierre gemayyel in the middle of jdaide? who massacred dozens of SSNP members in halba in 2008? who created and used terrorist groups, such as assir or fath el islam?
keep dreaming boy

where did you get DOZENS from--it was 11 which is actually less than one dozen--figures you suck at math (i am not condoning it, just getting FACTS in the way of your arguments/assertions). In addition, this occurring about the same time as your hizb iran buddies were invading Beirut killing how many again (forgot to mention that huh) Additionally, why don't you start counting all of the political assassinations that have taken place in this country and see how many of them were M8/pro syrian politicians.

As a final reminder, actions have consequences. A lot of what has happened is a reaction to what hizb iran has done. assir is a prime example of that. in addition, hizb iran's members don't get arrested, thrown in jail or otherwise answer to any state authority. don't you think that there are people and groups out there that see that and want to do something about it?

Thumb Maxx 22 August 2013, 17:40

"The terrorists who are triggering guns all over must be eradicated before [it] is late". I agree 100 %. Exterminate the Iranian Occupation Force with extreme prejudice. All of them. You included. How do you like them apples?

Thumb Maxx 22 August 2013, 17:43

Yeah. Next they'll be talking about "smoking out" these "terrorists" and so on and so forth, parroting their teachers in Israel and the Republican US. I wouldn't be surprised if next Hasan says "Is our children learning?"

sweet--they blamed zionists again. if anything, they are predictable. i suppose the chemical attack in syria was zionist inspired too.

every other bomb and assassination that goes off in lebanon hezbollah likes to blame israel. poor victim hezbollah see's the whole world against them now. i guess victims feel they have the right to do or say anything bearing no responsibility or consequence. Let there be Light.

Missing samiam 22 August 2013, 23:14

as opposed to hizb iran who do these things and refuse to hand over party members because of ongoing zionist conspiracies. stop acting like a complete tool and at least show a little bit of independent thinking.

your brainwashing is almost complete--you have lost almost all rational thinking.

I am pretty sure more killings will follow. One side has a Persian leash on their necks and the other Saudi Arabian. What have they given you? Armed Palestinians still enjoy your hospitality and are in Lebanon to stay. Nothing has been done by either Iran or Saudi Arabia (at whose pleasure the armed Palestinians serve) to rid Lebanon of this plague. At least learn a lesson or two from Israel. They only serve one master.

Thumb Senescence 23 August 2013, 01:28

They enjoy the promise of power, which is above all else.

Get ready for another Bomb, that is exactly what the FSA leaders stated who were upset when the rat announced first that he is defending the Lebanese towns from A-Quaeda, then went to Qusayr to free it, then said the Resistance want to be where it needs to be in Syria.
You really expect the 80% Syrian people to forgive the rat and what his brainwashed followers are doing inside Syria? they're going to send more car bombs and kill innocent citizens so that the rat is happy with the Army-People-Resistance pony dance.

Thumb Senescence 23 August 2013, 18:59

cedars, I regretfully inform you that pertinent security agencies have been dispatched for your apprehension and interrogation.

Missing cedars 23 August 2013, 05:45

M14 are not hiding and they are getting assassinated for speaking the truth, Nasrallah is hiding with the rats because deep down he knows that he is wanted on murder by the justice department.

All armed groups from all sides must be dismantled. The Lebanese army to fulfill its raison d'etre by using its full prerogatives to oversee security on all Lebanese territories.
