Gunmen Kidnap Lebanese Man, Take him to Syria
A 25-year-old Lebanese man has been kidnapped by armed men in the eastern Bekaa Valley and taken to Syria, his father claimed on Sunday.
Ali Sharafeddine, who hails from the area of al-Nabi Inaam in the eastern city of Baalbek, told police that his son Hussein was kidnapped on Sunday morning while on a hunting trip with three others.
Ali told security forces at the Younine police station that the 25-year-old was hunting on the outskirts of Nahle in Lebanon's Eastern Mountain Range when he was kidnapped.
He said the abduction took place after gunmen riding a pickup truck opened fire at his Grand Cherokee in the area of al-Shaghour on the Lebanese-Syrian border.
However, his cousin, Mahdi Sharafeddine and two of his friends from Dandash family, who were hunting with him, managed to escape.
