ISF Asks Citizens to Provide It with Footage of Starco Blast
The Internal Security Forces on Monday called on anyone who has pictures or videos taken immediately after the Starco bomb attack to pass them on to the Directorate General of the ISF.
“Following the explosion on Friday morning, a number of people captured pictures and videos with cellphones and other devices,” the directorate said in a statement.
“In line with the authorization of State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr, these individuals are kindly asked to send the pictures and videos they have to the following email: csi@isfid.gov.lb,” the directorate added.
It noted that this step aims to “help the investigation that is being conducted by the Directorate General of the ISF.”
The directorate reassured that the names of the contributors will remain confidential.
The bomb attack took place on Friday morning in downtown Beirut, leaving ex-minister Mohammed Shatah, his bodyguard and six other people dead.
A picture of four teenagers taken moments before the explosion has gone viral on social networking websites.
The booby-trapped, golden Honda CRV used in the attack appears behind the teenagers in the picture.
