Three people were killed in traffic related accidents on Friday in several areas in and around Beirut, the Traffic Management Center and the state-run National News Agency reported.
One person was killed and several others were injured, two of them seriously, when a car turned on its side on the Damour-Jiyyeh highway, south of Beirut, TMC said.
An unidentified woman in her 60s died when the driver of a Kia Sportage, Rashid Sh. hit her on the Jal el-Dib highway, north of Beirut, NNA said.
A Syrian identified as Ali Hilal also died in similar circumstances when the driver of a Nissan, Mohammed A., hit him on a highway in Beirut's southern suburbs, the agency said.
Jimmy Assad Sakhat, in his turn suffered from severe injures, when an unidentified vehicle hit him in the Salloumeh area of Dekwaneh.
He was taken to the Lebanese Canadian Hospital for treatment, NNA added.
