Syrian army troops lured three teens who hail from the northern city of Akkar to one of its site and they haven't returned to their homes yet, the state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday.
"The three boys are Alaa Khaled Khamis from the town of Wadi Khaled, Bashar Abdul Razzaq from al-Awwadah village and Odey Moqtada al-Moudir,” the families of the young men said in a released statement, noting that their sons are all aged 14.
The statement detailed on the incident: “Member of Syria's army that are positioned near the town of Deir Ammar lured the boys yesterday night and they haven't returned home yet.”
"We call on concerned Lebanese authorities to uncover the fate of our sons and help us in bringing them back home,” it added.
Since the eruption of Syria's war, the border near Wadi Khaled has been a scene of several smuggling operations of gunmen and of weapons on both the Lebanese and the Syrian sides.
