Illegal, Fake Medication Seized in Majdal Anjar
The General Directorate of State Security raided on Wednesday a warehouse in the eastern Bekaa town of Majdel Anjar and seized fake medication, the state-run National News Agency reported.
According to the news agency, a unit raided a warehouse used for the production of illegal medicine that is sold on Lebanese territories.
The NNA also reported that a large quantity of counterfeit medicine was seized.
In 2012, two people, including the brother of Minister of State for Administrative Reform Mohammad Fneish, were charged with an illegal medications case.
Media reports said last week that Fneish's brother might be involved in forging certificates of laboratory tests.
