Google paid tribute to late Lebanese actor Hassan Alaa Eddine on Wednesday, replacing the logo on its homepage with an image of the man marking his 75th birthday.
Google replaced the first 'O' in the company's name with a picture of Alaa Eddine with his famous mustache, and added the icon of what is known as “tarboosh” on top of the last letter.
Alaa Eddin, commonly known as Shoushou, was a famous Lebanese actor, singer, and comedian born in Beirut in 1939.
Shoushou sang and composed many children's songs and plays including “Alef B Boubeye” and “Nana il Hilwe.”
He died on January 2, 1975 at the age of 36 from a heart condition.
Shoushou was the founder of the national theater. He also wrote and played in many TV movies.
