Syrian warplanes on Monday fired 18 missiles on the outskirts of the Bekaa border town of Arsal and nearby areas.
“Syrian fighter jets fired 18 missiles on the Wadi al-Kheil area in Arsal's outskirts and the road between Flita (in Syria) and Arsal,” Lebanon's National News Agency reported.
Meanwhile, LBCI TV said “Syrian aircraft waged strikes on the Arsal areas of al-Rahweh and al-Maslaha."
For its part, OTV said “Syrian military aircraft fired 18 missiles at armed groups in Wadi al-Kheil in Arsal's outskirts and on the Flita road.”
The Beirut-based, pan-Arab television al-Mayadeen said Syrian warplanes raided al-Rahweh, Jwar al-Sheikh, Wadi al-Kheil and al-Maslaha, “which link Arsal's outskirts to Flita.”
Al-Jazeera television said five people were wounded in the airstrikes.
