Two Lebanese youths reportedly went missing two days ago in unknown circumstances, the state-run National News Agency reported on Saturday.
According to NNA, Nazem Dandashi and Bashir Aaref informed Mashta Hassan police station in the northern province of Akkar that their children went left their homes in the village and haven’t been heard from since.
The news agency identified them as 21-year-old Ahmed Dandashi and Khaled Aaref, 25.
Voice of Lebanon radio (93.3) reported that the brother of Dandashi was killed in al-Hosn battles in Syria.
He was reportedly affiliated in an extremist group.
In March, the Syrian army seized the the Krak des Chevaliers medieval fortress after fierce fighting in the nearby village of Al-Hosn in central Syria, routing rebels who had captured it in July 2011.
