A Palestinian teenager wounded in clashes with the Israeli army three days ago died of his injuries on Monday, medical and security sources said.
Hassan Ashur, 14, was shot in the abdomen with live fire as protesters clashed with Israeli troops at Beit Furik, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian sources told Agence France Presse.
Ashur's health rapidly deteriorated over the weekend, and he died Monday morning in hospital.
Israel's army had no immediate comment on the incident.
Palestinians have staged regular protests in the West Bank since Israel began its Gaza assault on July 8, and troops have responded in many cases with live fire, according to Palestinian security officials.
At least 20 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since the start of the Gaza operation, according to U.N. figures.
