Israel Sets up Reconnaissance Balloon near Mays al-Jabal

The Israeli army set up on Friday a reconnaissance air balloon near a town in southern Lebanon, reported the National News Agency.

It said that Israeli troops installed the balloon near the town of Mays al-Jabal.

The espionage balloon is equipped with several video cameras, added NNA.

The operation was accompanied by overflights by Israeli drones over the al-Wazzani, al-Ghajar, Shebaa, and Kfar Shouba areas.

In March, the Israeli army set up a similar reconnaissance balloon over the orchards of the southern border towns of Kfarkila and Adaisseh.

The Lebanese army meanwhile announced in a statement on Friday that Israeli surveillance jets flew over Lebanese territories on Thursday.

A jet flew over the southern town of al-Naqoura, the regions of Iqlim al-Kharroub, and Beirut and its suburbs at 2:50 pm and returned to Israel at 10:10 pm.

At 4:55 pm, another jet flew over the town of Rmeish and other southern regions and returned to Israel at 10:10 pm.
