Israeli troops shot and wounded a 14-year-old boy in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday in the second such incident in 24 hours, medics said.
The boy suffered injuries to his foot after coming under fire in his village close to the border, emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said in a statement.
On Sunday, Israeli fire wounded a farmer near the border fence, Qudra added.
Under Israel's blockade of the coastal territory, residents of Gaza are not allowed to come within 100 meters (yards) of the border fence on foot, or 300 meters in a vehicle.
Israeli soldiers often fire at Palestinians who stray closer.
The Israeli army said that it was looking into the latest reported shooting which comes just over a month after a fragile ceasefire went into force between Israel and Gaza's Islamist de facto rulers Hamas.
The 50-day war killed more than 2,140 Palestinians, most of them civilians, and 73 on the Israeli side, mostly soldiers before the ceasefire went into effect on August 26.
