Security forces closed the motor vehicle registration facility in the southern city of Sidon on Friday after a fistfight between two people, said the state-run National News Agency.
NNA said police closed the premises after a dispute between an employee and a person tasked with following up transactions triggered the fight.
Police ordered all employees and the people present during the time of the incident out of the facility and blocked its doors, it said.
The employee, who was identified as Qassem G. accused Mahmoud B. of assaulting him in his office, the agency said.
But Mahmoud claimed that Qassem unlawfully asked him for an amount of LL2,000 for every new driving license issued, NNA added.
