Suspect Wounded during Police Raid in Rashaya
A suspect was injured on Thursday in a shootout with police in Rashaya district in the eastern Bekaa Valley, the state-run National News Agency said.
Haitham Salman Hamad was wounded when he exchanged fire with officers from the Internal Security Forces in Kfarqouq, it said.
The policemen were raiding his house when the shooting took place.
The army interfered to contain the incident and Hamad was transported by the Red Cross to a hospital outside Kfarqouq, the agency added.
