Israeli Forces Stage Patrols in Shebaa Farms amid Reconnaissance Overflights

The Israeli army staged patrols alongside the border with Lebanon on Monday as a reconnaissance aircraft flew over the occupied Shebaa Farms.

“Since 4:30 pm, patrols by the Israeli enemy army were detected alongside the borderline from the axis of Abbasiyyeh in the west all the way to the heights of Shebaa and Kfarshouba in the east,” the state-run National New Agency reported.

The ground movements took place “as a reconnaissance drone flew over the occupied farms and (Syria's occupied) Golan,” NNA added.

Moreover the Israeli soldiers “opened fire from the al-Alam and Ramta posts, targeting the nearby forests.”

Patrols consisted of Hummer vehicles combed the border areas from Israel's Misgav Am to the heights of al-Wazzani and the occupied Ghajar village all the way through the Metulla axis, the agency said.

Israel has reportedly erected a defensive barrier and sonar array off the Ras al-Naqoura border area, in south Lebanon, to prevent any Hizbullah divers from infiltrating northern Israel.
