The army command said on Thursday that the military has arrested a wanted fugitive during a raid in Beirut's southern suburbs, and seized weapons from his house.
The army said in a communique that the arrest of Nader Ali al-Mawla took place in Ouzai on Wednesday night.
Al-Mawla is wanted for opening fire on citizens and injuring them, it said, without specifying when and where.
The patrol, which raided his house, seized arms, hand grenades, ammunition and military hardware, said the communique.
The same patrol raided the house of another suspect, Hatem Fares al-Meqdad, also in Ouzai, but did not find him.
It found a firearm at his residence during the raid, the army added.
