Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif said on Monday that he "vigorously condemns" the Israeli strike that killed six Hizbullah fighters in Syria.
Zarif said Sunday's strike was no surprise, describing it as "state terrorism" by Israel.
“We condemn all actions of the Zionist regime as well as all acts of terror,” Zarif told Press TV.
"This has been a practice followed for a very long time,” he said.
Among the Hizbullah members killed in the attack in the Mazraat al-Amal area on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, close to the Israeli-controlled frontier, is Jihad Mughniyeh.
Jihad is the son of Imad Mughniyeh, a top Hizbullah operative assassinated in a car bombing in Damascus in 2008.
He is the most prominent Hizbullah figure killed in the neighboring country since the party joined the war in 2012, fighting alongside President Bashar Assad's troops against the rebels seeking to topple him.
