It could be clear to any one that al-Mustaqbal Movement leader Saad Hariri was part of the Arab military intervention against Huthi rebels in Yemen.
Hariri's recent shuttle diplomacy, where he traveled to Egypt 15 days ago and held talks with President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi and then headed to Turkey on Wednesday and met President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, could be a clear indication that he was part of the Arab and regional preparations to intervene in Yemen to combat Huthi rebels, who are supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Egypt's role in the region, which is witnessing an Arab-Iranian combat is clear, as much as its role in battling terrorism.
The meeting between Hariri and Sisi was far from exchanging pleasantries as Hariri was seeking to maintain the regional and international communication channels that he inherited from his father former PM Rafik Hariri, who was assassinated in 2005.
However, Turkey's visit, that comes in less than 24 hours before the “Firmness Storm” military operation was launched by Saudi Arabia and 15 other Arab and Islamic states, could be merely considered a coincidence or political indulgence.
It is obvious that Hariri was part of the diplomatic maneuvers that aim at building an Arab-Islamic coalition to combat Iran and terrorism.
Saudi Arabia said more than 10 countries, including five Gulf monarchies, had joined the coalition to prevent the fall of Yemeni embattled President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi.
The coalition launched a military offensive in Yemen after the Shiite rebels moved on Hadi's last refuge in the southern city of Aden.
If Saudi Arabia and Egypt succeeded in obtaining Pakistan's support to participate in the military operation, then Hariri's visit to Turkey aims at widening the coalition.
The coalition aims at sending a strategic message to Iran over statements by its officials on Tehran's expansion in the Gulf and the Middle East, which will remain unapproachable thus the “Farsi Empire” will not be reproduced.
