French President Francois Hollande will discuss the Ukraine crisis with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during a visit to Armenia on April 24, a source in his office said Friday.
Putin and Hollande are attending a ceremony in Yerevan marking the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide.
The meeting will come two days after Hollande meets Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Paris.
Relations between the two countries have been hit by France's decision to suspend the delivery of two Mistral warships to Russia as East-West tensions have mounted over the conflict in Ukraine.
Putin dismissed the spat on Thursday, saying: "Of course not delivering the ships according to a valid contract is a bad sign, but from the point of view of supporting our defense capabilities, to tell you frankly, this has no importance."
