Prime Minister Saad Hariri has reportedly accepted the settlement proposed by Saudi Arabia and Syria but the March 8 forces did not take any step forward.
Sources close to Hariri told pan-Arab daily al-Hayat in remarks published Thursday that the premier "accepted the Saudi-Syrian deal but unfortunately, the other side has until now made no positive step."
The March 8 forces also didn't take the steps that they had vowed to Saudi King Abdullah to make, they said.
There is an attempt to bypass the Syrian-Saudi initiative and "engage in dialogue with other parties," the sources told al-Hayat.
Last week, al-Hayat said that Hariri and Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah had accepted the Arab settlement and agreed to keep its details secret.
