Teenager Arrested in Sehaileh after Stealing a Car
Security forces arrested a teenager in the town of Sehaileh after he stole a vehicle from Ajaltoun and sped away with it, the National News Agency reported on Wednesday.
NNA said that the 15-year-old, who hails from Nabey, stole a GMC owned by Sami al-Khazen on Tuesday night and drove away.
But a guard at Ajaltoun municipality called police after he noticed that the teenager was an outsider and not the owner of the car.
Immediately after receiving the call, two police vehicles chased the GMC and fired in the air to stop the boy.
When he failed to park the car, they opened fire on its tires. The vehicle veered off its course and hit a wall, NNA said.
At this point, the driver escaped into nearby woods but was later arrested by the police officers.
