The army intelligence detained Friday two men linked to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Lebanon's eastern Bekaa valley, media reports said.
Abdul Nabi Roumiyeh and his son were detained in Bar Elias area.
Twenty-two cell phones and two computers in their possession were seized.
A day earlier, the army announced in a communique the arrest of three people on charges of conducting “major financial operations” on behalf of militant groups operating in Syria.
They were identified as Lebanese national Mohammed Dahrouj and the Syrians Ahmed Najjar and Ayman Ghotmeh.
The three confessed to the charges.
The Syrian conflict has spilled over heavily into Lebanon in the form of a refugee crisis, sporadic waves of violence and sectarian tensions.
The mountainous area along the Lebanese-Syrian border has long been a smuggling haven, with multiple routes into Syria that have been used to transport weapons and fighters.
