A Syrian army unit entered the town of Hnaider in Wadi Khaled in northern Lebanon on Monday where it was chasing smugglers, reported MTV.
It said that it entered the town and opened fire at the alleged smugglers.
The unit also arrested two individuals without giving an explanation to its action, reported LBC television on Monday.
This is not the first time Syrian troops enter Lebanon.
Over the past few weeks, Syrian units have entered, on separate occasions, the Bekaa towns of Arsal and al-Qaa.
It also entered a town in northern Lebanon where it accidentally opened fire at the Lebanese army.
