The cabinet adjourned Wednesday’s session that was set to be held at the Grand Serail for lack of quorum, An Nahar newspaper reported.
President Suleiman traveled to Riyadh at the head of a high-ranking delegation on Wednesday to offer condolences to Saudi King Abdullah over the death of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz.
This forced the cabinet to adjourn its meeting for the absence of ministers who are currently present at the Saudi capital also to offer their condolences.
The cabinet had postponed Tuesday's session after Prime Minister Najib Miqati traveled to Saudi Arabia to attend the funeral of the crown prince.
The March 14-led opposition leaders and MPs headed to Riyadh on Wednesday to join ex-Prime Minister Saad Hariri and offer their condolences.
