Report: Hizbullah Readying Itself for Escalation Over 1st Part of Indictment
Hizbullah will launch a new stage of escalation this month when international tribunal prosecutor Daniel Bellemare hands over the first part of his indictment to the pre-trial judge, a diplomat told al-Liwaa daily.
He said the escalation will start this Thursday and last till January 15 when Bellemare delivers the first of three indictment parts to Judge Daniel Fransen.
The indictment is divided into the incitement, execution and planning stages, the newspaper said.
"By January 15, Hizbullah will know the final move it would take to confront this stage," the diplomat told al-Liwaa.
Hizbullah is aware that media reports on the Saudi-Syrian initiative are not true, he said, adding that rumors are aimed at tricking the party for not being able to deliver vows to contain the international tribunal.
