Gemayel Says March 14 Will Safeguard Lebanon against Conspirators
Phalange party leader Amin Gemayel stressed on Saturday that the March 14-led opposition stances are to safeguard Lebanon against those who are conspiring against it.
“We are not only defending the rights of a certain group but the rights of all the Lebanese citizens … and the sovereignty of the country,” Gemayel said during a meeting with a delegation of residents of the town of Tarshish.
He stated that the March 14 main principle is to protect the state and develop it.
Concerning the attempt of Hizbullah to expand the party’s telecommunications network in Tarshish, Gemayel hailed the residents of the area for preventing the party from continuing the process.
In October, Hizbullah’s alleged attempt to install a private telecommunications network was thwarted over by residents.
“Every citizen is demanded to preserve the interests and security of the country,” he said.
Gemayel noted that the opposition is keen to strengthen and fortify the public institutions.
