Suleiman stressed during a meeting with Temer at Baabda Palace on the importance of reforming the United Nations and the World Trade Organizations.
The president said that Brazil should become a permanent member at the U.N. Security, asking for its assistance to pressure Israel to implement Security Council resolution 1701 and to give the Palestinians their rights under the international legitimacy.
Suleiman voiced the importance of seeking strategic partnership between the two countries, noting that Lebanon can be a base for the Brazilian economic and trade investments.
For his part, Temer considered Lebanon as gate to the Middle East, stating that he is ready to continue his full political support to ensure Lebanon’s independence and sovereignty.
He added that he will offer his economic support to Lebanon.
