Prime Minister Najib Miqati stressed Friday that the Premiership will not be a target each time some find themselves cornered, asserting that it is impossible to reduce the constitutional authorities if the PM.
The Change and Reform Ministers said earlier prior to refusing to attend a cabinet session that it is not logical for the Prime minister to impose an agenda for discussion on the ministers.
In a statement by his media office, Miqati refused the ministers' talk, reminding them of article 64 of the constitution which stated that the PM calls the ministers for session and puts his own agenda.
He stressed that the Premiership will not be a target each time a political party finds itself cornered, or when it is seeks to have a bigger role and size which exceeds what it actually has.
Miqati warned that "the current situation is complex and very sensitive and does not support any adventures or risks which might cause more fractures in the country."
"Everybody should cooperate to protect this country and to build it, and to have a sense of national responsibility in the political act," he added.
