An Emirati soldier has been killed in southern Saudi Arabia while taking part in the Saudi-led campaign against Yemen's Huthi rebels, the United Arab Emirates military said.
The body of corporal Saeed Matar al-Kaabi was repatriated on Friday, the official WAM news agency reported.
The military said Kaabi was killed while "performing his national duty" in Najran province bordering Yemen, without elaborating.
Some 100 Emiratis have been killed in Yemen since the launch of the Saudi-led intervention in March 2015.
The UAE has been playing a key role in the Saudi-led military campaign to back President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi's government after Iran-backed Huthi rebels forced him into exile.
More than 8,600 people have been killed since the Saudi-led coalition joined the Yemen war in 2015, according to the World Health Organization.
In August, Emirati-trained Yemeni special forces launched a U.S.-backed operation against al-Qaida militants who have exploited the war to expand their presence in southern Yemen.
