An Israeli citizen convicted of murdering a Palestinian in the occupied West Bank in 2004 was extradited from Brazil on Wednesday, an Israeli NGO said.
Yehoshua Elitzur fled instead of attending court hearings, according to Honenu, a group that mainly defends Israelis accused of assaulting Palestinians.
He is now set to appear before a judge on Thursday, the group told AFP.
Arrested in June 2015 in Brazil, Elitzur's extradition came after a lengthy procedure involving Interpol, according to Israeli media reports.
Elitzur, originally a German national who converted to Judaism, was found guilty of shooting dead a Palestinian driver in September 2004 near the West Bank city of Nablus.
He faces 20 years in prison for the murder.
