China’s customs administration approved U.S. rice imports on Thursday, a move that comes during a 90-day tariff truce between the two countries, which are engaged in a bruising trade war.
According to a notice by China's customs authority, U.S. rice that meets inspection and quarantine requirements can enter the country.
Requirements for U.S. rice exporters include registration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and adherence to U.S. and Chinese phytosanitary laws and regulations.
