Reports: Nasrallah to Make Televised Speech on Saturday

Hizbullah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is expected to make a televised speech on Saturday on the occasion of Arbaeen, media reports said.

Arbaeen marks the end of 40 days of mourning following the anniversary commemorating the killing of Imam Hussein, one of Shiite Islam's most revered figures.

Nasrallah is expected to tackle several controversial issues in the speech that would come on the second day of U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon’s visit to Lebanon, the reports said.

Hizbullah MP Nawwar al-Sahili said that the party hasn’t yet decided whether it would take part in the meetings between the Lebanese officials and Ban.

The group will issue a statement to confirm its stance, he stressed.

On Saturday, Hizbullah official Sheikh Mohammed Yazbeck said Ban is not welcome in Beirut.
