Israeli forces on Monday demolished a home in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Hanina, residents told Agence France Presse.
The home, a makeshift structure in the Arab neighborhood, was knocked down by bulldozers that moved in around 6.30 am (04:30 GMT), according to the Samara family, who had been living in the building.
The structure was home to six people, the family said.
Israeli police said they were checking on the report.
Israel regularly demolishes homes in Arab east Jerusalem and the areas of the West Bank under full Israeli control, saying the buildings are constructed without the required permits.
The Palestinians say it is virtually impossible for them to get permission to build in Arab quarters of Jerusalem and Israeli-controlled areas of the West Bank.
Rights groups and international organizations including the U.N. have called on Israel to end such demolitions, saying they cause "extensive human suffering".
