Bassil Says 'Truth Appeared Today' after Govt. Formed
Free Patriotic Movement chief Jebran Bassil on Friday commented on the formation of the new government led by Najib Miqati.
“Unfortunately, we witnessed a year of delay that could have spared the Lebanese a lot of pain,” Bassil tweeted, a few hours after the cabinet was formed.
“We hope that we have learned to respect the constitution and that it is unacceptable to bet on defeating anyone,” the FPM chief added.
Calling on the new government “not to be late in reform,” Bassil said “the truth appeared today,” suggesting that certain parties had been delaying the government in order to “defeat” his party.
