Will Hariri Run in Elections? Intensive Meetings Today to Reveal Final Decision
Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri will start today a series of internal meetings with al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc and the movement's political bureau, al-Joumhouria newspaper said.
The newspaper said Friday it has learned that Hariri will hold these meetings to make a final decision regarding the elections.
The ex-PM will decide whether to run for elections or not and decide with his bloc on nominations and voting.
Hariri's final decision to personally run for elections is not final yet, according to the sources, although al-Mustaqbal MP Hadi Hbeish had said Hariri "most likely" will not personally run.
"These are only analyses and narratives," the sources said, adding that the ex-PM "is not bound to what has been said" in this regard.
"He wouldn't have chosen to remain silent, had he already made up his mind about the elections," the sources affirmed.
